This area is east of SEPT 27. It is 10 by 10 yards big. This area is a lab for advanced technological experiments and also contains the elevator down to the next floor of the mega-dungeon. The lab is sub-sectioned into a test chamber (4 by 4 yards big), a monitoring booth with three computer terminals (4 yards wide by 2 yards long), a cordoned-off vault for vats of vile chemicals (2 by 2 yards in size, the walls of the vault are extra thick for +10 DR and +20 HP but the door is unlocked) and 3 extremely heavy and tough standing safes (-5 Lockpicking modifier, DR 75, HP 66). 10 chairs and 8 desks (cluttered with equipment and records) are situated around the biggest sub-sections, used by researchers doing paperwork and recording.
The laboratory’s head researcher, currently studying in the test chamber, is a Mindwarper. His staff helping him with his experiment here is N Void Brutes, busy at the desks and monitors. None of them will like the heroes interrupting their work.
The test chamber contains many esoteric scientific instruments centred upon an experimental superweapon (it resembles a bizarre large backpack-sized silver cube with multi-colored flashing lights and unlabeled buttons all over it) kept on a pedestal in the middle. This superweapon could unleash a huge wave of bizarre mutant monsters upon the world if fiddled with.
The fortified-glass vats (each vat is DR 3 and HP 10, weighs 20 lbs.) of chemicals in the quarantine subsection are a mixture of strong acids (1d+1 corrosive damage if splashed), toxic waste (2d toxic injury upon exposure, reduced to 1d toxic injury on successful HT-3 roll) and highly flammable industrial run-off (even 1 point of burning damage will set it on fire and it will burn for 8d seconds, sufficiently harsh hits could cause an explosion for 3d burn ex). There is 1d vats each of every kind of chemical.
The standing safes contain a total of 2 Resurrection Oils, 50 doses of Paut, 10 Alchemical Antidotes, 11 Universal Antidotes, 1 silver ingot ($1000, 1 lb.) and 3 gold bars (each $20000, 1 lb.).
In the north-east corner of the room, there’s an elevator (2 by 2 yards of space inside) that descends 25 yards down to the next floor. It operates via buttons and the journey between floors only takes 10 seconds thanks to ultra-tech engineering. The elevator features comfortable seats, convenient overhead storage compartments and near-flawless safety features.
